Lord, deliver us from violent people, who plan evil and stir up conflict continually—from their speech, from their acts of terror, and from the arrogance of the wicked. YHWH, You are my God, my strong Deliverer. You sustain the afflicted and do justice for the needy; the upright survive and flourish in Your care. Set a guard over my mouth, O Lord; I myself am inclined to violence and vileness. Let the good rebuke me, and save me from the plans of wickedness. Lord, I cry to You; please help me. Answer me from Your faithfulness and steadfast love; enemies pursue and harm me; my head aches and my muscles burn; my soul longs for You like a parched land for rain. Hurry, God! Let me hear this morning of Your steadfast love; I trust in You alone; deliver me from my enemies, and teach me to do Your will; lead me by Your Spirit on the path of righteousness.

God’s Day is coming: the nations will gather against Jerusalem, and the city will fall. But YHWH will go forth Himself, standing on the Mount of Olives east of the city; the mountain will be divided north and south, and there will be a terrific earthquake, an awesome day with no nightfall. From Jerusalem, living waters will flow forth, half to the Mediterranean, half to the Dead Sea, summer and winter. YHWH will be King over all the earth—one God, one Ruler. The land will be leveled, a flat plain from Geba to Rimmon, but Jerusalem will remain exalted and secure.

Paul writes: For God’s glory, be hospitable to one another—Jews and Gentiles alike. Jesus will rule all together; may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in your faith, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope!

As Jesus continued toward Jerusalem, he approached the Mount of Olives from Bethphage and Bethany. He sent two disciples into the village to find an unridden colt, and to bring the colt to Him. The owners questioned the two, who responded as Jesus had instructed: ‘The Lord has need of it.’ And they brought the colt to Jesus. The disciples threw garments across it and seated Jesus on the animal. As He rode forward, the crowd spread their garments and palm branches on the road before Him; they rejoiced and praised God with a loud voice, for all the mighty works they had seen: ‘Blessed is the King Who comes in the name of YHWH! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!’ Pharisees demanded that Jesus rebuke His disciples—this was blasphemy to their ears. But He answered: ‘If these were silent, the very stones would cry out.’
