Devotions: Ps 61, 62, 112, 115; Isa 11:1-9; Rev 20:1-10; Jn 5:30-47

Lord, by Your grace, lead me to a high, safe place under Your protection. Let me live in Your household forever. My soul waits and longs for You; my hope is from You, my Lord. I will trust You at all times, in every circumstance. Bless me because of the works of my Lord Jesus. Prosperity, security, steadfastness, and generosity characterize those centered in God. This enrages the wicked, and blesses the righteous. Glorify Your name, O YHWH! Our God lives and is effective. Others worship idols of silver and gold. God attends to us and blesses us. May we live and experience the generous goodness of our God, as we praise the Lord!

A shoot and branch shall come forth from the stump of Jesse; and God’s Spirit will rest upon Him, with wisdom and understanding, counsel and might, knowledge and righteous awe. He will delight in doing God’s will. He will judge the rich and poor alike, with equity He will bless the poor and meek, and smite the earth with His words, and slay the wicked by His truth. He will rule by righteousness and faithfulness! His reign will bring peace to all creation. There will be no more violence, no hurt or destruction: for the earth will be full of the knowledge of YHWH as the waters cover the sea.

Satan and all his demons will be imprisoned for a thousand years; those martyred for faith in Jesus will reign with Him in the first resurrection, that of the blessed and holy! These will be priests of God and the Messiah, for a thousand years.

Jesus judges by the Father’s authority, in the Spirit’s righteous power. Jesus is affirmed by His mighty works of power; and the Father Himself spoke for the Son, by the word dwelling in those He has called, and by the Scriptures attesting to His advent and His ministry. In Him is eternal life, for those who believe in Him. If we believe Moses, we will believe Jesus.
