Devotions: Ps 2,85, 110, 132; Mic 4:1-5, 5:2-4; 1 Jn 4:7-16; Jn 3:31-36
Why do the nations rage and the peoples conspire vainly against YHWH and His Messiah, intending to cast their bonds aside and manage the world themselves? God laughs at them with derision, and He will deal with them in wrath! God has decided that His Anointed will rule all creation. So let mortal leaders take counsel: serve YHWH with fear and trembling; kiss Christ's feet, lest He become angry and you perish forever. The Son abides at the Father's right hand, and God has commissioned Him as eternal King and Priest. His reign and redemption are established forever. The coming of Messiah was announced to Mary, to Joseph, to the shepherds and to Anna and Simeon, and was noted by the Magi. And all who heard and understood hurried to see and to worship Him. He Is the Root and Branch of Jesse, the Son of God, of David and of humankind. God will clothe His enemies with shame, and He will abide in the glory of His Father.
In the last days, God's household will be established on Mount Zion, and all the peoples and nations of earth will stream to Him. God's reign will center there, and Jesus will judge among the nations; and they will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. War will cease and each person will live peacefully in a fruitful home. We will live in the Name of YHWH our God forever! He will be born in Bethlehem Ephrathah in Judea, and will shepherd His flock in the strength of YHWH and in the majesty of God's own name, forever and ever.
Let us love one another as God has loved us; love is of God; those who love are born from God and know Him. Those who do not love, do not know God, for God Is love! God's love is manifest among us in the Person of His only begotten Son, Whom the Father sent that we might have life in Him Here is love: not that we love God, but that He loves us and sent His Son to be the expiation for our sins. And loved ones, if God loves us so, we also ought to love one another. No mortal has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God abides in us and His love is perfected in us.
He Who has come from above is above all. He bears witness to all He has seen and heard, yet few receive His testimony. But those who accept and bear His testimony affirm that God Is true. The One God sent says the words of God, for He possesses the Holy Spirit in fullness. The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand. All who believe in the Son have eternal live; any who do not obey the Son will never see real life, and God's wrath rests upon them.
