Jesus Is the Light of earth and heaven

Monday, January 6 - Epiphany Devotions: Ps 46, 96, 97, 100; Isa 49:1-7; Rev 21:22-27; Mt 12:14-21 YHWH is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. So I will not fear, even if the very earth is shaken. There is an eternal realm where a river gladdens God's holy city, where the Most High abides. That place cannot be shaken or harmed; though the demons and the nations rage, God reigns supreme. Don't let transitory appearance fool you: the Eternal lives and reigns forever. So let us sing a new song to the Eternal One; let us bless His holy name and tell of His salvation day by day. Great is our Lord, and greatly to be praised. Let us grow into the capacity to love and praise and serve Him aright! Ascribe to YHWH the glory and honor that is His alone; worship the Lord in the majesty of His holiness; let all creation bow in awe before our Master. Let heavens and earth, sky and soil, rejoice; let all creation sing His praises, Who will judge the world with righteousness, and all mortals by His truth. All idol-worshipers are put to shame, but those who worship the true God are vindicated and glorified. You, our Lord YHWH, are exalted far above all gods. Light dawns for the righteous, joy for those of circumcised hearts. Let us give thanks to our God and exalt His holy name. Let us serve the Lord with joy; come before Him with singing, full of the knowledge that the Lord is God; He made us; we are His people, the sheep of His flock. Come into His gates with thanksgiving; enter His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and bless His name. For YHWH Is good; His steadfast love endures forever, and His faithfulness extends to all generations. YHWH called me from the moment of my conception; He brought me out of my mother's womb; He named me from eternity; He prepared and set me aside for His service. So my labor in the Lord is not in vain my right is with the Lord; my reward is in His keeping. He makes His own a light to Jews and Gentiles alike, that His salvation may extend throughout creation. The Holy One of Israel is faithful, and He Is my Master. John shared his revelation of the holy city of God: There is no temple in that city; its temple is the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb. The city has no need of sun or moon, for God's glory is its light and the lamp is the Lamb. By this light all nations will walk, and the rulers of the earth will bring their treasure and glory into it. The city's gates will never be shut by day—and there will be no night there! Nothing unclean will enter, nor anyone who practices abomination or falsehood—only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life. Jesus contended with the Pharisees over His healing on the Sabbath, and they took counsel against Jesus, seeking means to destroy Him. Aware of this plotting, Jesus withdrew, and the crowds followed Him. He healed all among them, and ordered them not to publicize what He was doing, fulfilling the prophecy of Isaiah: 'Behold, My Servant, Whom I have chosen, My Beloved with Whom My soul is well pleased. I will put My Spirit upon Him, and He shall proclaim justice to the Gentiles. He will not wrangle or cry aloud; no one will hear His voice in the streets; He will not break a bruised reed or quench a smoldering wick, till He bring justice to victory. And in His Name the Gentiles will hope!'
