Devotions: Ps 61, 62, 68; Isa 52:1-12; Gal 4:12-20; Mk 8:1-10

Lord, hear as I cry to you from the end of the earth! Lead me to a Rock of refuge, God; let me live in Your house forever. Shelter and bless me, as I praise Your name. My soul waits in silence for God alone, my only Savior and Fortress. I will not be greatly moved. My hope is from Him, and I trust God always. Power and steadfast love belong to Him, and He blesses us because of the righteousness and works of Jesus. Let God arise and scatter His enemies; let the righteous rejoice in our God. Nature bows to God’s authority; blessed is YHWH, Who daily bears us up and delivers us from death! He gathers His people to Himself, and we assemble to praise and thank Him. Let all creation sing His praise; blessed be our God—mighty, majestic, terrible, and compassionate!

Awaken, Jerusalem, and dress yourself in splendor—God has redeemed you. How beautiful is the presence of one who brings good tidings, who publishes peace and salvation! Our God reigns. Let us break into song; He goes before us and makes our way smooth. God’s servants will prosper and be lifted up!

Paul exhorts the Galatians: ‘Become as I am; remember how we are linked in common faith! Don’t leave Christ and seek to live by the law—that way lies destruction!’

A great crowd gathered to hear Jesus; after three days’ teaching, they were exhausted and hungry, and He had compassion on them. He commanded that the people be seated, and took the seven loaves His disciples could find, blessed and broke them; likewise a few small fish. And the great crowd was fed and satisfied, and the disciples gathered seven baskets full of leftovers. Dismissing the crowd, Jesus and His party traveled by boat to Dalmanutha.
