Devotions: Proverbs 4.
Listen to our Father’s instruction, and gain insight: ‘Let your heart hold fast to My words; keep My commands and live; neither forget nor turn away, but cleave to wisdom and insight. Love Wisdom and she will guard you. The first move in that relationship is to resolve to get wisdom and insight before all else. Embrace her, and she will honor you.” Hold fast to godly instruction. Stay away from the paths of the wicked; turn away and go the other direction. The path of righteousness is like the increasing light of dawn, waxing brighter to the fullness of day; the way of wickedness is into deepening darkness. Keep your heart with all vigilance—it is the source of your life. Set aside crooked speech and devious talk; look to God and walk straight along His pathway—then your way will be sure and unswerving—away from dark and evil, into light and abundant life.
