Devotions: Proverbs 5.
Listen to God your Father, and seek understanding. Be discreet, and think before speaking. Avoid loose women; stay far from the temptations of unfaithfulness, fornication and adultery. That path leads to dishonor, shame, and the loss of all that is of real value. A life squandered in those sins ends in agony and utter ruin! Take your pleasure and refreshment from the wife God has given you; rejoice in her and let her affection fill you with delight. God will augment your marital faithfulness with renewed infatuation and delight—His renewal of the ecstasy that draws us into relationships at first. God is always watching you, faithfulness deepens love, but iniquity surely leads to death, and folly, to desolation.
